Schola Sarmenti Corimei 2018 is a naturally sweet Primitivo passito with ripe fruit, smoky depth, chocolate and tobacco.
Produced from 100% Primitivo grown on approximately 65-year-old alberello vines in Salento, Corimei is late harvested and lightly dried on the vine. The result is a mature, velvety passito with generous ripe fruit, balsamic nuance and remarkable persistence.
Why this wine matters
Corimei shows a distinctive side of Primitivo: a naturally sweet passito made from old alberello vines and late-harvested grapes dried gently on the plant. Steel maturation preserves the purity of the ripe fruit while the wine develops the depth expected of a contemplative dessert red.
