Wine introduction
Why this wine matters
Chêne is one of Grover Zampa’s most ambitious reds. The producer specifies a 55% Tempranillo and 45% Shiraz blend, up to 40 days of maceration and 15–20 months in new oak, resulting in substantial structure and ageing complexity.
In the glass

Ripe blackberry, currant and plum with spice, vanilla, liquorice, chocolate and roasted coffee beans.
Structured and balanced, with dark fruit, firm but integrated tannins, acidity and layers of vanilla and cinnamon from oak.
