Historic French Gamay with Structure, Spice & Depth
The Château des Moriers Moulin-à-Vent Rouge is a wine of heritage and heart — produced by the Monrozier family since 1850, now guided by Gilles Monrozier and his daughter Anne-Victoire. This small estate specialises in age-worthy Beaujolais wines, releasing each vintage only after 4–5 years of cellar maturation.
Sourced from 1 hectare of Les Blanc and Champs de Cour vineyards, where pink granite and sandy clay soils impart texture and depth, this organic-conversion Gamay reveals a complex and structured personality.
Each vintage tells a story:
-
2014 – vibrant, spicy, and evolving with black pepper and cherry notes
-
2015 – ripe, full-bodied, with toasted and fruit-rich nuances
-
2016 – classic and balanced, with spice and slowly maturing red fruit
-
2019 – elegant, juicy, and ready to drink
The wine undergoes semi-carbonic vinification, followed by secondary fermentation in a mix of old and new 400L barrels, creating a seamless expression of Gamay’s charm, depth, and minerality.
