Preparation and Maturation of the Alexandria Cuvee Red Wine
The grapes are manually harvested in the middle of September to the middle of October. The harvest is followed by a long maceration period of 18 to 20 days which yields the wine with rich colour and character enhancing tannins. The wine is fermented in steel vats. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for 18 months in new oak barrels. This helps smooth out the tannins and gives the wine its distinct character.
Appearance
The wine has a deep ruby red colour in appearance.
Bouquet
This perfectly balanced blend of Vranec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot exhibits pronounced aroma of dried blueberries, plums and black cherry with sweet spicy notes of cloves, toast and chocolate
Palate
This is a Dry red wine with medium acidity, medium tannin, full body and a long finish,
The sweet sensation felt on the nose, reflects further on the taste, which is dominated by sour cherry and red currant with a lingering aftertaste.
This wine has plenty of ageing potential.

This wine is an ideal companion with all kinds of grilled red meat and game.

This wine is best consumed at 16- 18-degree celsius
